Solar panels are really low maintenance however it is good to maintain them well and monitor their performance.
Investing in solar panels is a big investment and it’s important you understand the warranty coverage. Pro Solar provide a 2-year warranty, covering the full installation process.
Do you need maintenance if you have warranty? To ensure your system operates at peak performance, we highly recommend regular checks and visual inspections. This proactive approach helps identify potential issues early.
What maintenance will I need? This is entirely up to you. Pro Solar offer two types of Maintenance. One is a Maintenance plan that covers; unlimited call-outs, repair or replacement of electrical equipment, 5 yearly service and a dedicated support team. Whereas our other maintenance plan is designed for call-outs and includes: diagnostic call-outs, full system and equipment inspection, direct access to our support team and one-off servicing.
Is there anything I need to do at home or the workplace for solar panel after-care? If you notice any dirt or debris on your panels, it is a good idea to give them a clean. Debris can damage your panels, and dirt may reduce their efficiency. The best way to avoid the chance of dirt is to ensure the area around the panel is well maintained.
Monitor your solar panels and make sure they are working the best they can. You can do through monitoring and optimisers. Optimisers are installed on individual solar panels, allowing each panel to operate at its peak efficiency, by mitigating the effects of shading, dirt or differences in panel performance.
